Belinda Obi established Accents Language Services Inc (ALS) in April 2021. She holds a dual degree in History and Law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She also holds two master’s degrees, in International Law & Diplomacy (MILD) from University of Lagos and a Master of Legal Science (MLS) from Uppsala University, Sweden, specializing in Refugee Rights. She has worked as an interpreter since 2008 for numerous Language Service Providers (LSP’s) in Sweden and the United States. Belinda’s interest in meeting people from various cultural backgrounds has afforded her the opportunity to combine her interest in languages with her work as an interpreter where there is the continuous need to bridge the gap by providing interpretation services for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals. Belinda strives to assist clients who struggle with communicating effectively with different agencies, facilitating meaningful interactions between both parties.

Belinda has undergone interpreter training courses in Sweden and the United States, specializing in areas spanning Legal, Medical, Immigration, Insurance, Banking, Social Services, Educational Services, etc. She is a member of the National Association of Judicial Interpreters & Translators (NAJIT) and holds the CCHI CoreCHI™ Certification for medical interpreters and a Liaison Certificate for interpreting between Swedish-English.
